I found some suspicious votes in the next character poll, some of which are by known spammer addresses. While I have no idea why would a spambot vote on polls, I will probably remove these votes and all votes from the same country.
If you live in Russia and actually voted for Sakuya, please post a comment saying you are not a spambot. She is the only one getting votes from Russia and she already got 6 of them, 2 of which have been reported for spamming already.

This is a mostly untested, and potentially unbalanced beta release, for testing purposes. If you do not plan to give me feedback on the character, ignore it and wait until the official release.
Kaguya is a defensive, boss tier character. She has a large number of healing, damage prevention, or resurrection abilities. Her danmaku attack damage is average, and her physical attack strength is way below average, but she is very well capable of keeping herself alive until the enemy runs out of health…or timer.

1.I’ve decided to finish Kaguya first. I was planning for this anyway because I’m the furthest ahead on making her, but I would have switched over to Marisa if that option had over 60% of votes.
2.A new poll is up for the character after Kaguya. I’d prefer to make Marisa and Sakuya next and after them the other 3 but I might change order if one character gets a large majority of votes.
3.I won’t update characters for zooming and won’t use 1.1 exclusive features yet. I’ll put up a poll about this again after I completed the testing of every character I made and am satisfied with all of them. This will most likely happen in the second half of the year the earliest.
About Kaguya, she’ll be a heavily defensive character, with half her spellcards being non-attack ones. I’m probably not telling much of a secret if I say that she’ll also have a resurrection ability, but she’ll also have barriers, healing, reflection etc…she’ll have very minimal physical attacks, however.
One more thing, I doubt I’ll ever have enough time to make sprites for a Mitori character, I have my hands full with coding stuff for the next 3-4 years, so if someone really wants her, find me a spriter and it’ll happen, otherwise, not…spriting is both too time consuming, and I’m also bad at it, so it’s better to leave this for someone more talented at it, and focus on coding.
Speaking of sprites, Sky79 managed to solve his real world problems, and he’ll be back on the internet soon! This is great news! I don’t know if he made any progress on Aura’s sprites meanwhile, but I’ll know more once he is fully back.

The most important thing I would like to mention is that 1.1 is fully compatible with 1.0 or older characters, as long as you don’t use zooming stages. If you do, however, you will need updated characters that are compatible with zooming.
I know I was supposed to do this, but he kinda jumped the gun and did it first, so, everyone who was waiting for 1.1 alpha 4, this is where you can download it (seems to be down at the moment):

PS : My intention was to mobilize the community and make them talk about Elecbyte’s disappearance and alpha 4 until someone releases it, and I would have done it as the last resort if no one did, guess the plan worked way better and faster than expected. This should serve as a lesson to Elecbyte as well, you don’t go and disappear for 2 years without saying a word…and you definitely don’t do that twice in a row!

I’ve decided to stop updating the RP characters for the time being.
I’ve already updated the ones I liked most and RicePigeon is active again. Also, the next two characters I would have updated used Minoo’s not that great sprites. I believe making new characters would be a more productive way to spend my time.
The next 3 characters I’m making will be Kaguya, Marisa and Sakuya. For now, I’ve already made some good progress on planning Kaguya’s movelist, so I’ll most likely complete her first.
Meanwhile, I’ll also try to keep up with testing the remaining characters I’ve already released. I don’t expect too many problems on those but most of them are not yet flawless and there is still place for improvement. The Touhou RPG project will be on hold for a few months because it’s still very far from completion and I’m not sure if it’ll be as good as my Mugen releases, either. I’ll eventually finish it but it’ll take a year or two anyway so some months aren’t much of a difference, whereas, that much is enough to complete several Mugen characters.
I’m also planning to start working on Satori during, or after I finish these three.

The amount of problems with this character were way above average, which kinda shows that I rushed it to finish the release before the end of 2012. Unfortunately I stopped working on Mugen right after, so I didn’t find out about these problems until now. Sorry about that.
[BUGFIX] Fixed Bound to grave being useable after Illusion Rift B was guarded. Now it requires a hit.
[UPDATE] Boundary of Mind and Foot no longer causes a fall and no longer knocks standing opponents into the air. This change is to prevent getting a chance to get back the power cost through charge while the opponent is down.
It also gives more power to the opponent being hit now.
[AI BUG] Fixed the AI not being able to chain Illusion Rift after normals when the player can.
[AI BUG] Fixed AI using Illusion Rift C against opponents in guardstun.
[AI BUG] Fixed the AI not using Ride the Wave
[UPDATE] Adjusted hitspark position on Illusion Rift C
[BUGFIX] Reduced hittime on standing C because it was possible to combo a light attack after it.
